For my artist logo, I wanted to reflect my Chinese Asian American identity, so I combined the Chinese character for my last name, Ming, with my English initials, “GM”.

I had seen cursive Chinese calligraphy styles of writing Ming whose brush strokes echoed a cursive “gm,” so I synthesized key elements in the final logo.
