6 FACETS OF FAITH
Commissioned by the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life at Wellesley College
medium: acrylic on canvas
Wellesley’s Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (ORSL) asked me to create a series of six paintings for the office stairway as part of their office redecoration project. The paintings I made represent my interpretation of 6 different aspects of faith practices.

Enlightenment
Faiths offer different perspectives on enlightenment, like folds made in a single sheet of paper.
Service
Faith practices bring people together, to work towards understanding, mutual growthh, acts of service.
Ritual
Faith is anchored in ritual, calling us to regularly return in thought, prayer, gathering, or meditation.
Faith
In darkness, faith is a light, however sparse or distant, that we look towards.
Peace
Over disquieted waters, our faith practices root us on sturdy ground.
Study
Following a faith practice calls us to spend time with text and learn not only about our faiths but about the world in which we live.
